Cords, wires and fabrics decide a tyre's strength, dimensional stability and load capacity. Polyplas supplies textile and metallic reinforcement from world-leading cord producers, Junma nylon-6, Kordsa polyester and nylon-6,6, to tyre plants across India.

Polyplas supplies tyre reinforcement materials in India: nylon-6 and nylon-6,6 tyre cord fabric, polyester (PET) tyre cord for passenger radials, brass-coated steel cord for belt packages, bronze-coated bead wire, and hose wire. Principals include Junma (China) for nylon-6 cord and Kordsa Global (Turkey) for polyester and nylon-6,6.

Bead wire anchors it to the rim. The carcass ply carries the load. Steel belts hold the tread flat against the road, and the cap ply keeps everything where it was put at two hundred kilometres an hour.

Nylon cord is the workhorse textile of India's tyre industry. High strength-to-weight, excellent fatigue resistance, dependable adhesion to rubber.

The bead is the one part of a tyre that must never stretch. Polyplas supplies high-tensile bronze-coated bead wire across the full range of cross-sections used by the Indian industry, from internationally certified mills.
